A sport educator connecting a physical education teaching background with basketball coaching, youth athlete development, authorship and responsible use of information.

Biography
Education, coaching, field experience, book work and the JAS23 vision meet in one long-term development perspective.
Ümit Özmen's professional path begins with a Gazi University and physical education teaching background, then develops through basketball playing and coaching experience. His approach treats sport not only as competition, but also as a learning environment shaped by movement quality, feedback, character and long-term growth.
His basketball background includes licensed playing experience during 1993–2000 and youth-team coaching experience beginning in 1996. Over the years, he has worked across different club, city and project contexts involving youth development, basketball education and field organization.
Wheelchair basketball is a distinct part of this professional journey. On the authorship side, Basketbolun Genetik Kodları and The Genetic Codes of Basketball explore youth basketball development, individual differences, training, recovery and education.
Genetic or performance-related information is framed as limited input that needs professional interpretation, field observation and development context rather than a standalone decision system. JAS23 is positioned as a future-oriented vision for ages 6–9, foundation movement education and long-term development.

Educator and Communicator
Alongside coaching and sport education, seminar work, communication, authorship and voice-over/dubbing training form a broader professional communication strand.
